An avid mountain trekker, Andrée has a bachelor’s degree in biology as well as a master’s in forest ecology from UQAM. She’s worked at the Jardin botanique since 1996, and is currently section head at the division of public natural-sciences programs. As part of her responsibilities, she’s constantly on the lookout for ways to make the plant world more accessible and more interesting for the general public. Showcasing the role played by plants, and helping people understand the importance of biodiversity in the balance of the world – these efforts lie at the heart of her activities.
