Her curiosity about nature and a taste for communicating led Anne Charpentier to earn two master’s degrees at the Université de Montréal, one in biological sciences (specializing in botany) and the other in museology (enhancing the natural world). For over 20 years she’s occupied positions of responsibility at Space for Life, including at the Biodôme and the Jardin botanique de Montréal, at Environment Canada’s Biosphere, and as Culture and Libraries director for a Montreal borough. Her achievements and her involvement earned her the award for “Outstanding Contribution” in 2005 from the Canadian Association of Science Centres. For over 10 years, she had the pleasure of leading the Montreal Insectarium. In 2019, she was appointed Director of the Jardin botanique de Montréal.
