Let’s go looking for monarch eggs and caterpillars, and contribute to research on the mythical migratory butterfly! Daphné Laurier Montpetit, coordinator of the Mission Monarch project, talks about this science initiative involving Canadian citizens and run by the Insectarium in collaboration with several Canadian universities.
See how you can be part of the monarch protection movement starting this summer by taking an inventory of milkweed plants in your area. Visit http://espacepourlavie.ca/en/mission-monarch for all the details!
I am working on the program for the Montreal Field Naturalists’ Club, a nonprofit organisation which holds a series indoor meetings in downtown Montreal during the fall/winter season. We are looking for a speaker who might address the problems facing the Monarch butterflies. Would you have any suggestions?
