René Pronovost

René Pronovost was appointed Director of the Jardin botanique de Montréal in 2015, after working as division head in the Garden’s Horticulture and Collections division since April 2009. Previously he spent 20 years in Quebec City as a project manager, including work on the renaturalization of the Saint-Charles River, and as an expert in urban forestry and ornamental horticulture. Through his wide-ranging experience he has become familiar with nursery production, at Québec Multiplants, and with the promotion of ornamental horticulture both here and abroad. René Pronovost is retired in 2019.
