Sylvie Paré

Sylvie Paré is a Huron-Wendat Métis. She holds a doctorate in adult education (with a museum education specialization) and a master’s in museology (from the Université de Montréal). She was curator of contemporary Aboriginal art at the Canadian Museum of Civilization as well as guest curator with the research group Design et culture matérielle at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. An artist, she was the recipient of a new millennium grant from the Canada Council for the Arts for The Covenant Chain, a work she presented in Japan, in Québec and in Ontario. She was cultural officer in the First Nations Garden at the Jardin botanique de Montréal and member of the ART • CULTURE Committee of the Urban Aboriginal Community Strategy NETWORK in Montreal.

Sylvie Paré was a cultural officer with the First Nations Garden at the Jardin botanique de Montréal from 2001 to 2021.
