Pollock

Some of the pollock's anatomical features are related to its habitat: the small or non-existent barbel beneath the chin (taste organ used by cod to find food in the mud, but of little use to the pollock). The mouth is tilted slightly upward, to catch swimming prey, while the cod's is tilted downward to search the seabed for food.
