Sea peach

Sea peach larvae resemble tadpoles. They have a rigid spine-like rod, a notochord, in their backs. The larvae swim freely. The adults attach themselves to rocks and do not move about. The two tubes on this animal serve different functions. One pumps water to feed the animal, while the other is used to expel waste. Sea peaches feed by filtering up to 200 litres of water an hour.
