Large-flowered bellwort

This yellowish-green plant grows up to 75 cm tall. Its stem is ramified near the top. It is also arched, giving the plant a wilted look. The base of the oval leaves seams to be pierced by the stem (perfoliate leaves). The underside of the young leaves is covered with hairs. The 3 to 5 cm long flowers are bright yellow and pendulous. The fruit is an ovate capsule about 1 cm long.
