Sea lavender, marsh-rosemary

It grows near brackish or salt water, where it becomes established primarily in the mud of marshes. It occurs mainly along coastlines in eastern North America. In Québec, it is found as far up the shores of the St. Lawrence estuary as Isle-aux-Coudres (Charlevoix) and Saint-Jean-Port-Joli (L'Islet).
