Landscape

The subarctic zone represented here is a rocky stretch of Labrador coastline (schist), with steep cliffs.

Climate

The temperature is kept relatively constant, between 12ºC and 15ºC. The duration of sunlight (photoperiod) matches the natural cycle in the region.

Vegetation

No natural vegetation is present.

Wildlife

There are some 60 alcids, including Atlantic puffins, common murres and black guillemots.
