Origin and description

Shrub native to Québec. Its beautiful white flowering at the end of spring is followed by bright blackish fruit much appreciated by birds. The glossy foliage takes on reddish coloring in the autumn.

Blooms: white, May to June
Fruiting: dark purple, almost black, August to September, edible
Attraction for wildlife: attracts pollinators and birds
