Spring (see also Canna)

The corms can be left in tepid water for a night before planting them.

Fall (see also Canna)

The corms must first be left to dry for ten to fifteen days at a temperature of 27°C. If the temperature is only 21°C, for instance, the corms dry more slowly and may rot.

They are then separated and stored on wire-grill trays in a dry and well-ventilated area between 4°C and 10°C.
