Origin and description

Perennial native to Québec. It displays pretty white flowers that curiously resemble turtle heads – thus its name in English. It prefers damp soils, such as those bordering ponds, but can also be grown in an ordinary flowerbed if the soil is kept fresh.

Heigth: 30 to 90 cm
Width: 45 to 60 cm
Flowering: white, sometimes tinged with pink, July to October
Attractions for wildlife: attracts pollinators, butterflies and hummingbirds
