A three-part project
By demystifying certain environmental issues, as well as paying attention to the plants, animals, atmospheric phenomena or insects around them, citizens, accompanied by our mediators, are urged to take action to protect biodiversity and the environment in a way that fosters a healthy and sustainable bond between humans and nature.
The Nature Near You team goes out to meet with the citizens to bring them to discover the environment and the biodiversity that surrounds them in the boroughs and municipalities, right in their neighbourhood.
The Nature Brigade
On tour in public places
The Nature Brigade presents animations and travels throughout the island of Montreal and the territory of the Montreal Metropolitan Community, in indoor and outdoor public places, year round! The Brigade helps you to learn more about the Montreal archipelago, its history, its fauna and flora, and the canopy of the metropolitan territory.

Micro-museums
A citizen co-creation experience
Created by and for citizens, the Espace pour la vie micro-museums are temporary artistic and scientific installations that go from one borough to another to give people the opportunity to discover nature and environmental issues that concern them specifically.
Each micro-museum focuses on a particular issue identified by the local communities of a given borough, and our mediators delve into this issue to sensitize citizens to see their immediate environment differently in order to better protect it.
Prototypes
An exhibition on the citizen co-creation experience at the Biosphère
In the Biosphère’s new space dedicated to citizen initiatives, discover an exhibition presenting the prototypes of four micro-museums related to socio-environmental topics. Through the creative journey of four groups of committed citizens, see how they jumped right into the co-creation experiment, and imagine your own micro-museum concept!
