Le Biodôme is one of the winners of the new Canoo Awards launched by the Institute for Canadian Citizenship to honour Canadian cultural institutions that are part of the larger Canoo network. The Biodôme is the first winner of the Breakthrough Award, which recognizes the most visited Canoo partner attraction that joined the program within the last year.

The Canoo network is a mobile app that aims to help newcomers discover Canada by giving them free access to arts and cultural sites across the country for one year.

"Espace pour la vie is very proud that the Biodôme is not only the first recipient of this award, but that is has also become a part of the Canoo family. In addition to contributing to the cultural vitality of Montréal, Espace pour la vie, through its five museums, makes the protection of nature and biodiversity its mission. We're delighted to help newcomers discover the numerous ways in which they can contribute to their protection," says Julie Jodoin, director of Espace pour la vie.
