- Space for Life
A renewed fruitful collaboration
Montréal Space for Life and the Muséum national d’histoire naturelle, in Paris, have renewed their collaboration agreement in the areas of conservation, research and collections development for a further five years.
The institutions, which share common values and the same commitment to preserving biodiversity, have worked together over the past twelve years on co-operative missions on sustainable development, innovation and management, ethics, citizenship and, of course, biodiversity.
Under the agreement, the two hubs of knowledge, conservation, research, education and programming:
- share best practices on either side of the Atlantic;
- create and maintain privileged and lasting connections between the museums and their professional scientific and educational staff;
- enhance competencies in museum management;
- boost professional standards in the areas of ethics and sustainable development.
The many collaborative workshops, lectures, publications and exchanges under the agreement also build awareness of this initiative among professionals in the museum community.
