Two boys are observing the insects in one of the vivariums of the Tête-à-Tête room.

With all your senses now wide awake after your visit to the Alcoves, you already have a greater understanding of the insect world. It’s time to move into face-to-face mode for a first intimate encounter thanks to the vivariums.

Six individual encounters

Six niches propose get-togethers where you can make the acquaintance of some of the eighteen species exhibited in rotation during the year at the Insectarium. The display units are located at eye level to allow for a one-of-a-kind and very special contact with the featured insects. In addition, the vivariums are designed to showcase the physical characteristics of each insect.

Amazing projections

For those who prefer to keep their distance and still observe the little creatures directly, it’s possible to contemplate the amazing behaviors of certain insects by watching videos projected on the walls surrounding the central island.

A tête-à-tête guaranteed to stir a whole range of emotions at these first encounters.
