Moth and Butterfly Garden

This is my fourth year making a Butterfly garden on my back balcony. Each year I try to add improvements. This year I wanted to add something that would attract moths as well. For that purpose I added the petunias. This year's plants include; lantana, coneflower, verbena, yarrow, sage, lavender, tickweed, parsley, basil, and garden phlox One interesting thing I did this year was to use silkworm frass as a fertilizer since I raise bombyx mori at home. Every year I begin with the hope of seeing what kinds of lepidoptera will visit my little garden.
