Fascinated by the relationship between humans and nature, Agathe Moreau holds a bachelor’s in environmental studies from the University of Ottawa and a graduate degree in geomatics from Université de Montréal. Her passions for the environment and pollinators led her to do research on social stingless bees (Meliponini) in collaboration with the National University of Costa Rica. She later did community work in urban agriculture and then worked in an institutional setting in the area of climate strategy development. Agathe now works at the Institut de recherche en biologie végétale (IRBV) as coordinator of Mission Monarch educational activities, a community science program under the auspices of the Insectarium de Montréal.
