Seeing and feeling the northern lights
This week we offer a face-to-face with scientific communicator Loïc Quesnel, who is also co-scriptwriter and project manager for the upcoming show aurōrae presented at the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium. The design team for the show, including Loïc, spent many chilly nights capturing 179,000 pictures of the northern lights.
Loïc Quesnel invites you to experience the journey and even accompany him by sitting yourself down under the tripod and cameras used beneath the Yellowknife sky on March 2015. Utterly spectacular, the aurora borealis will light up the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium with a 360⁰ projection in the aurōrae show.
