Emolab

Welcome to Émolab, a laboratory dedicated to exploring the science of climate emotions. At the intersection of the humanities, environmental studies, and civic engagement, this multidisciplinary approach provides students with tools to better understand, experience, and respond to today's environmental challenges. Students will learn to identify and name climate emotions, while developing their emotional resilience and their capacity to act.

Following an exploratory visit to the exhibition, students take part in an outdoor workshop in the beautiful Jean-Drapeau Park, where they explore ways to adapt to climate emotions through direct contact with nature.

In the event of rain, a comic book creation workshop is offered, inviting students to imagine life in a desirable and sustainable future.

The Grade 5 and 6 program aims to:

• Explore the connections between climate emotions and personal values
• Discover inspiring role models and individuals engaged in climate activism

Secondary 1 students will also explore:

• Emotional autonomy and self-regulation
• Ecocitizenship and ecosocial initiatives
