From 1999 to 2022, the Henry Teuscher Award has been given to people whose work has contributed in a meaningful way to the advancement of horticulture in Québec. As part of its annual Great Gardening Weekend, the Jardin botanique of Montréal highlighted individual excellence in the horticultural world.
Of German origin, the botanist Henry Teuscher worked with Brother Marie-Victorin in the development of the Jardin botanique. Appointed chief horticulturist of the Garden in 1936, he worked on its development until 1962.
