Educational activities are developed taking into account the contribution and participation of the teacher and assistants.

We recommend that assistants be present in the following proportions:

  • One adult per five students for preschool groups and students in grades 1 and 2
  • One adult per 10 students for grades 3 to 6 and secondary students.

The teacher and assistants will stay with the students throughout the visit and take an active role if needed. The number of students per class at an educational activity must comply with the ratios set by the Ministère de l'Éducation du Québec for different scholastic levels.

Prepare for your visit

Once you’ve determined the right type of visit for you – guided activity or a self-guided tour – you can plan your school outing, thanks to the pre-visit activities that have been designed for some of our educational programs.

Follow-up activities are also available to review concepts in class after your visit to the museums.
