Pearly everlasting

This 50 cm high plant has an upright stem that branches only near the flowers. It has alternate, elongated, narrow, toothless leaves. They are covered in long white hairs. The small, pure white flowers form a stemless flower-head. The flower heads at the top of the plant form flattened, slightly rounded inflorescences. The tiny fruit are surrounded with hairs. They are often found in the flower heads all winter long.
