An ancient entomophilic historical society appeals to the Insectarium for help: its members have gotten hold of a trunk that once belonged to Liliane Shirley, an authority on insects who lived at the turn of the last century. However, in order to open the trunk, riddles have to be solved that will make it possible to reconstruct a mysterious coat of arms…

This activity offers an incursion to the heart of the science and myths surrounding insects. Students exercise their critical faculties to distinguish truth from falsehood, and in so doing discover the contents of the trunk.
