Biodiversity

With my little granddaughters, in the spring, we planted red yarrow, green beans, squash, beets,cucumbers and carrots.
We have an Italian plum tree for eating and making jam, a raspberry bush, for the fresh fruit and the squirrels and birds, fresh rhubarb plants, and a Concord grape vine.
I am inspired by the childrens enthusiasm and knowledge that they understand where the food comes from and who polinates the plants and flowers. They are learning to appreciate nature's return for the hard work they do to care for the crops.
